With the discovery balloon ride, you share the flight with a maximum of 8 people in the basket. You live the adventure in family, friends or others passengers. The basket is big enough to make you feel at ease and totally secure. It is the ideal option for a first hot-air balloon flight, with a good price

The flight program

Activity description : the activity starts at dawn with the picking up of the passengers at the meeting point. Then, the passengers have the opportunity to help during the preparation of the flight: the setting and inflation of the balloon. When the balloon is up, we take off for a ride which will last more than an hour. The wind is the master of our way up the Catalonian landscapes. The landing marks the end of our ride. The “rescue team” comes to collect the balloon. We then celebrate the flight at the landing spot with a Cava toast and a surprising special brunch. Passengers will eventually receive a first flight certificate signed by the pilot.

Duration of the activity : half a day, including minimum of 1 hour of flight.

Flying hours : by the morning, just after dawn.

Days of activity : We concentrate the flights on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Concerning availability the rest of the week, it is possible to organize flights for groups, special events or for the passengers who have chosen the exclusive flight option.

Location of the activity

We invite you to experience the adventure in the Vallès Oriental, at only 30 minutes away from Barcelona. Taking off from Cardedeu, you will discover from the air amazing panoramas and landscapes, flying over unique points of interest in the Montseny Natural Park region. By clear sky, you will have the opportunity to admire the Montserrat picks, Barcelona itself and the Mediterranean sea ...

Location : Cardedeu is located 30min / 39km north from Barcelona. GPS : N 41º38´26´´ E 2º21´34´´. Meeting point : cafeteria of the Hotel EL XURIN 3*** sticked to RENFE strain station. Coming by car : Highway AP7, way out nº12 "Cardedeu". Or take the C-35 until Cardedeu. Coming by train : 38 min. from Barcelona, by the green line nº2 dir. Maçanet Vilanova / St. Vicenç.

Useful informations

Flying season : In Catalonia, it is possible to fly equally during summer or winter. In fact, flying in winter offers some interesting advantages for the passengers: the weather is generally more stable what allows a longer flight and you can get up later as dawn takes place later in the morning.

Good weather conditions for a good flight : hot-air Ballooning is an activity directly linked with the weather conditions. To ensure the flight, we absolutely need to have weak winds (less than 20 kmph) and no rain. In case of unsuitable weather conditions we would postpone the flight to another day.

Restrictions : a hot-air balloon ride is a very safe activity but in order for our passengers to avoid running any risk, we advise pregnant women and children under 6 not to fly.

Prices and booking

We propose you a price list adapted to each passenger according to its own desire: special offer for children or families, exclusive flights for those who want to enjoy a total intimacy during the flight. We also offer a picking-up in Barcelona in 4x4 for those who do not dispose of a car.

The activity includes :

- Flight organization, the ballooning team (pilot+crew member).
- Third party insurance according to European law Nº785/2004.
- Briefing, preparation and inflation of the balloon.
- A flight of minimum of 1 hour in duration.
- Landing, passengers recovery by the chase crew.
- Cava toast, soft drinks and a surprising meal at the landing spot.
- Transfer back to the launchfield in 4x4.
- Delivery of First flight certificates signed by the pilot.

Option : Pick-up at your hotel in Barcelona :

For a better service, we offer a pick-up and transfer in 4x4 from Barcelona to the launchfield. If your hotel is situated in the city centre of Barcelona, we directly come and pick you up at your hotel. In some particular cases, we can pick you up out from Barcelona. Don’t hesitate to ask us when booking the activity.
